Todd Brous, is the President and Lead Consultant of Untwist Technology. Todd has over 15 years of experience working in computers, networking, video systems and visual effects. Prior to starting Untwist, Todd has held positions of Director of Digital Animation Technology at Nickelodeon Digital Studios, as well as the position of Senior Systems Administrator at Mass Illusion Visual Effects and at The School of Visual Arts. Todd continues to teach in the Graduate Computer Art department at the School of Visual Arts where he has developed their systems curriculum over the past 14 years, and has also received an MFA degree in Computer Art.

Jake Durand, was given his first computer in 1992 by his grandfather, it had two 5.25 floppy drives, no harddrive, it was beige, ultra beige. Since then Jake has had his hands on the keyboard, teaching himself BASIC, WWIV BBS, HTML, C++, PHP, CSS, not to mention a variety of software packages and design applications. It wasn't until undergrad that Jake became responsible for more than just his own computer. While at Bennington College, studying Digital Art and Multimedia, Jake became a senior lab assistant. The lab was student maintained and used by 100's of students. It was no easy task maintaining, but we got the job done. After undergrad and a 3 year stint as a photo retoucher, Jake returned to academia where he studied Installation Computer Art (MFA) for 1 year, while there he worked as an AV Lab Assistant for the MFA Computer Art department. Shortly thereafter Jake was inducted into Untwist as a systems consultant, junior grade plus, after enduring the trials by terminal, the ring of finicky switches, and the dreaded Printer of Neverworking. He's happy. Jake's Computer Kung Fu has become very strong.

Rebecca Adorno Davila, recently graduated (with honors!) from SVA's MFA Computer Art department. She is brilliant. She knows how to solder. She is cute. Rebecca is a new media artist born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After realizing that her undergraduate classes were all theory and no practice, she switched from Electrical Engineering studies to Humanities and Fine Arts. She learned how to edit video, still images and sound, and taught herself how to circuit bend everything she puts her hands on to make weird sounds. Since then she has been working on interactive installations using all sorts of controllers, sensors and programs like Max/Msp. She received an MFA in Computer Arts from the School of Visual Arts, where she worked as an A/V and Physical Computing Lab Assistant. Rebecca has worked as a freelance video editor, sound designer and also as an assistant for artists like Federico Muelas and Lillian Schwartz. Her sarcasm makes people smile every once in a while.

Alyssa Torres, is still in school, but we had to hire her anyway. Yes, she is a student in SVA's MFA Computer Art department (There is a distinct pattern). Alyssa wants to become a 3D animator when she grows up, but she has great systems skills that we are proud to benefit from. Her Thesis animation is going to be AMAZING! Alyssa is another hottie. My mother said that, "She is adorable!". I think we will try to keep her when she graduates.

Hsiang-Chin Moe, Hsiang-Chin is another one of our creatives who provides some of the best solutions, support and smiles throughout. She's also from SVA. (It's the best source for talent, and we only hire the best.) Hsiang has recently gone freelance, but we bring her in on "Special Projects".

Mike Barron, has been doing systems work since graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with an MFA in Electronic Arts in The Year 2000. He is currently an artist and a Systems Administrator at the Museum of Natural History in New York. We bring him in for freelance work when we can get him, and he provides guidence and guru karma. Mike was formerly the Senior Systems Administrator for the School of Visual Arts' MFA Computer Art Department in New York City, where he still teaches two sections of Video for Computer Artists. His artistic practice consists primarily of video, music and performance. He has shown videos in the New Jersey State FIlm Festival, at Remote Lounge and on PBS 13's Reel New York, and he's performed at Roulette and Lincoln Center. Mike has also served as a freelance systems consultant for such clients as Julia Heyward, Laurie Anderson and, of course, the inimitable Untwist Technologies.

Dara Taylor, is one of our spectacular freelance {Systems,Editor,Director} talents who bounces between New York and DC, where she is working as an AV Technician for the Smithsonian Institution and serves as the Technical Director for Sevenfold Skateboards. Dara holds her MFA in Computer Arts with a video concentration from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. During her time in New York, she has completed an internship at PBS | Thirteen.org, working on the American Masters Series, "Annie Liebovitz", edited and authored DVD's for Untwist Technology and worked as a Lab Assistant for the School of Visual Arts. She has also had her video works and thesis film, "Opiated: Life Beneath the Eyelids" screened nationally. Opiated has been featured in the "School of Visual Arts Selected Works 2007" DVD, qualified as a semi-finalist in the Adobe Design Achievement Award Competition and is currently featured in IMDB.com's beta streaming video site.
